Grand Masti Collection Report: Grand Masti with a flying start at box office has made a great collection today on its opening day. Released today on 13 september 2013, The film took the opening of 80% occupancy at theatres although it has been released with 1500+ screens. Although there is no official update available about the collection of the film but according to the unofficial reports, Grand Masti has made a collection of 10 Cr. on its opening day. Grand Masti is the sequel to 2004 released Bollywood hit Masti.
Seems legit as the film has been released with 1500+ screens & the occupancy was high because the competitors were very week against it. Talking about the other two movies released on the same day, Horror Story & John day couldn’t perform well against the fun of Grand Masti. Horror Story made an occupancy of 20% whereas it was a disaster for John day.
Grand Masti is the biggest release of this week with very less competition on box office. Additionally the content of movie has made it viral among youth. Previously the trailers of the film were on trend because of its vulgarity (no offence but it seems, India loves vulgarity). The comedy of this film is effective enough to entertain the audience completely.
Featuring Ritesh Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi & Aaftab Shivdasani in lead role, Grand Masti is full of bold scenes & double meaning dialogues. Infact this film might be the most adult movie of the year. Presented by Bharat Shah, directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria, Grand masti has made its producers happy by making a great collection at box office.
If you are wishing you watch this film, Let me inform you that Grand Masti will give you a staple diet of dirty jokes. So watch it on your own risk. you’re not going to get anything there except vulgar comments & double meaning jokes.
Grand Masti strongly attracts youth & hence the business of the film was strong at Metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi & Bengaluru.
First day collection was good for Grand Mast or Masti 2 but the further collections will depend upon the reviews of the audience & critics.
