Dabangg 2 valued 180 Crore, Settelite rights sold for 45 Crores
Bollywood Super Star Salman Khan has proved himself Dabangg in terms of earnings with his film. His upcoming film Dabangg 2 has been valued for over 180 Crore before its release. As per a famous trade consultant Amod Mehra, the initial cost of Dabangg 2 is 180 crore.
Eros International has purchased the domestic and international rights of the film. Where as Saleem khan (father of Salman Khan) is having a great part of Domestic settelite rights of Dabangg 2.
Salman Khan has established a record by selling the rights of Dabangg 2 in 180 Crores. By this way, he has defeated some great movies.
- Ra.One = 137 cr
- Krrish-3 = 125 cr
- Chennai Express = 105 cr
- Talaash = 90 cr
- Don 2 = 90 cr
The estimation is based upon the satellite and distribution rights only. Reports are also coming that the satellite rights of Dabangg 2 has been sold for over 45 Crore rupees to an entertainment TV channel which is the biggest amount for any film.
Amod says further, Salman Khan is the biggest factor among this huge value of the film. Recently Salman has given some super hit films and his ultra large fan base is supporting his movies to trade a grand amount.
Salman recent release Ek Tha Tiger has broken all the records by earning 32 Crores on the first day which has not been achieved by other Khans yet. (SRK’s Jab Tak hai Jaan collected and Aamir Khan’s Talaash could collect only).
Saleem Khan, the father of Salman Khan is having a large part of Dabangg 2 rights (of Mumbai, Delhi, Up & East Punjab) and many distributors are trying to purchase the rights of this film.
Arbaaz Khan directorial Dabangg 2 is a sequel of 2010 hit film Dabangg which is scheduled to release on 21st December. Salman Khan is playing the role of inspector Chulbul Pandey with actress Sonakshi Sinha as her wife in Dabangg 2.
